Chiropractic Care

A system of diagnosis and treatment based on the concept that the nervous system coordinates all of the body's functions, and that pain results from a lack of normal nerve function. Chiropractic employs manipulation and adjustment of body structures, such as the spinal column, so that normal function of joints can be restored. We advocate a multidisciplinary approach that combines spinal adjustment with other modalities such as physical therapy, psychological training, and dietary measures.

•Has evolved from Chinese Acupuncture.

•Practitioners use current knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology.

•Practitioners use acupuncture points to stimulate the nervous system in particular ways to achieve the desired affect.

•Axon reflex, segmental and extra-segmental neuromodulation (AKA Pain Relief)

DOT Exams

A Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination must be conducted by a licensed "medical examiner" listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry.  The term includes, but is not limited to, doctors of medicine (MD), doctors of osteopathy (DO), physician assistants (PA), advanced practice nurses (APN), and doctors of chiropractic (DC).

A DOT physical exam is valid for up to 24 months. The medical examiner may also issue a medical examiner's certificate for less than 24 months when it is desirable to monitor a condition, such as high blood pressure.
